Rabbinical School Bound

For those of you that don't know, TBLJ is heading to Rabbinical school.  I will be attending the Reconstructionist Rabbinical College, starting this summer.

How Low can you go? G-d and Moses oppose minimum wage increase

First of all I believe using religious like figures in politics is just wrong but Stop 42, the group opposed to Amendment 42, a ballot initiative in Colorado to raise the state minimum wage from $5.15 to $6.85. The initiative, if it passes will also adjust anually for inflation.

You have to watch this add, these people have sunk pretty low. I am sure that G-d would want us to help people out of poverty.

Bush's Own Church Has Called For The Withdrawal Of Troops From Iraq

Bush's own church is now speaking out against the war and has called for troop withdrawal.

United Methodist Church leaders helped launch a week of protest and civil disobedience against the war in Iraq by signing a declaration of peace urging President Bush to pull U.S. troops out of the country.
The Declaration of Peace, signed Sept. 21, is described as a call for nonviolent action to end the war in Iraq. The Washington event was one of 350 that will be staged nationwide to promote the peace initiative. The declaration calls for people to “engage in peaceful protests” if there is not a plan for troop withdrawal established and begun by Sept. 21, days before Congress adjourns for the fall elections.
