Voting Rights Act renewal???

Just renew the Voting Rights Act and move on. Race and politics are intertwined and when you have white politicians fighting to not renew the Voting Rights Act I really don't understand how they cannot see this act as racist. Racism is so engrained in our society that some whites don't even know what it looks like anymore. If congress does not protect the right to vote of every citizen how can we continue to represent ourselves to the world as symbol of freedom. Laws are created to make voting easier not harder. Pass the Voting Rights Act and Move On.
