What is Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney doing giving $5,000 to fight a constitutional amendment banning same-sex marriage in South Carolina? Romney's PAC has donated the money to South Carolina For Marriage. Romney is, as of this posting, listed as the only major contributor

Asha Leong, the campaign manager for the Fairness for All Families Campaign which is fighting the proposed amendment says that Romney should butt out of South Carolina state affairs.

I agree with her what is he doing? Is Romney so afraid, that he will be associated with approving Same-Sex marriage for Massachusetts that he has to donate money to a bigoted organization that can not get its facts straight.
